NEPTUNE Canada is collecting data from 11 instrument platforms and over 50 instruments installed in 4 locations around our 800km cable loop.
Our best of video clips are available through YouTube, still images through Flickr, and these are being added to regularly.
For raw live video, check out our online cameras through Oceans 2.0 (click here for instructions on how to find the live video). This is our active science web environment that will be growing and developing into the future.
Also, you can watch our ROPOS installation dives through the Dive Viewer (go to Oceans 2.0, then click Browse and ROPOS Dive Videos).
The cameras are in an environment without natural light, so the lights are on only for limited times, to minimize impacts on the sensitive seafloor ecosystems. Check our calendar to see when they’ll be on.
