This map shows the location of a series of video segments captured by ROPOS during the cable route planning survey in August 2007. (Click the markers to play video segments.)

Join us on a voyage of exploration of the sea floor near the planned future location of the Barkley Canyon node. The markers on the map at right correspond to half-hour video clips captured by the ROPOS submersible during this reconnaissance mission. Click the links below (or markers on the map) to explore the video segments as well as some amazing still photos of sea floor creatures and events observed.
