Natalia Gartley joined NEPTUNE Canada in April 2006. She provides complex project assistance, organization and administrative support to both the Victoria and Vancouver offices of the NEPTUNE Canada Project.
Natalia graduated from the Far Eastern Fisheries Institute in Russia with a degree in Marine Biology. Also, she received another degree in Linguistics from the Far Eastern State University, Russia. A significant part of Natalia’s career was spent at the Pacific Fisheries Research Center (Vladivostok, Russia) where she worked as a marine scientist specializing in squid biology, then as an International Cooperation Coordinator. In 2002, Natalia was accepted as an intern at the PICES (North Pacific Marine Science Organization) Secretariat for a 1-year period.
Since 2004, Natalia has been working at the University of Victoria performing various secretarial and administrative duties.
